Dennis Warshal Cooks Kosher for Leah It's year end, and what a year it has been. Business is, thank G-d, busy and busier. My only regret is not having had as much time to cook, post, write and make videos. There is always next year; G-d willing! I am planning a schedule and hope to stick with it. What inspires me? Those who try my recipes and let me know how things turn out. I'm thrilled to know that Dennis Warshal has begun a new Chanukah tradition at his home; Spring Rolls! He has shared some photos and I'm honored to show them here. Dennis is a sculptor, custom florist and event ambiance designer. And, apparently, food stylist. I've known Dennis since the beginning of my catering. Frequently part of an event team, along with a certain event planner and certain photographer, we'd work on events together admiring each other's work. I don't know Dennis well but I know his easy going charm and artistic skills. He once worked on a big project for Ezra Bessaroth creating a replica of the town square on the Island of Rhodes. Guests wandered through airbrushed styrofoam city walls to the main dining room. Absolutely stunning. I created a menu of Sephardic traditional foods. It was an amazing evening. Of course, once the decor was set, Dennis could sit and enjoy dinner. My evening was just beginning and Dennis came into the kitchen holding a camera. I told him, "No way! Not when I look like this!" His reply? "You always look like that." Yikes, I hear that in my head when I've had a long day in the kitchen. Anyway, back to the spring rolls..... I love it when 'students', readers are literal in their following of my instructions. Look at the organized and well prepped ingredients. Dennis, you warm my heart! Thank you, Dennis, for sharing your new tradition with me! Catch you on the circuit ~ Wishing you a prosperous fiscal new year! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
